  • Manage full daily on-site operations of 9 villas

La Lucciola is still as busy as ever in its almost 30th year and has become known internationally for consistently great food accentuated by the genuine warmth of Balinese hospitality

We started the operations in 1993 at the current beachside location in Petitenget, Bali, adjacent to Petitenget Temple (one of the 6 most important Balinese “Directional” Temples). At this time the area was still predominantly rice fields, the Oberoi Hotel marking the end of the development leading north along the famous Kuta Beach. The Australian owners decided on a traditional approach to the design of the restaurant, a design that has endured the test of time and the dramatic weather conditions that Bali experiences during the monsoon season.

In 1993 the Bali restaurant scene consisted mainly of Indonesian food with the odd smattering of pizzas, fish and chips, etc. La Lucciola paved the way for many of the restaurants on the island, creating a demand for imported ingredients with its modern Italian menu and evolving wine selection.
