Built in harmony with its surrounding, Belalu Bali offers exquisite villas of new generation.

The villas were designed by the famous architect Pablo Luna, designer of innovative structural concepts from bamboo in Bali, in collaboration with the interior designers – Putri Vihoho and Sylvia Fairman.

Each villa is with a wow factor, located on the edge of a stiff cliff, with a view to the gorge of the Oos River in the heart of the cultural capital of Bali – UBUD.

It has an independent infinity swimming-pool, jacuzzi and terrace-shape garden, a separate entrance, bedroom, semi-open bathroom, decking, balcony and a lounge area from which you will enjoy a breath-taking view towards the jungle.

We are seeking an experienced and talented chef to join our team at Belalu Bali Boutique & SPA experience’ in the vibrant town of Ubud, Bali. As a contract chef, you will play a crucial role in delivering exceptional culinary experiences to our guests, showcasing your expertise in crafting delectable dishes that celebrate the flavours of Bali and beyond.

What you’ll be doing

  • Preparing and cooking a variety of international and local Balinese dishes to the highest standard
  • Collaborating with the culinary team to develop and refine menu offerings
  • Ensuring kitchen operations run smoothly, adhering to food safety and hygiene standards
  • Providing guidance and mentorship to junior kitchen staff
  • Participating in the development and implementation of new recipes and culinary concepts
  • Maintaining a well-organised and clean kitchen environment

What we’re looking for

  • Minimum 3 years of experience as a chef in a reputable hospitality establishment
  • Expertise in preparing a variety of international and Balinese cuisine
  • Strong knowledge of food safety and hygiene regulations
  • Excellent time management and multi-tasking skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative kitchen environment
  • Passion for creating unique and memorable dining experiences
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
